2026 Sing for Scholarships

(only 20 slots available for auditions)

Who: Registration will open August 18th at 6PM

When: September 01, 2026

Where: Congregation Beth Shalom 7525 Northern Lights Blvd. 7:00 PM (arrival time) - 9:30 PM 

Requirements: Auditionees will prepare one musical theater song, no longer than five minutes, and provide a quality digital accompaniment (a link for upload to Dropbox will be provided in the email confirming your audition slot). Evaluations will be based on vocal technique, musical artistry, and audience rapport. Props and costumes are allowed.

Event: Alaska Sound Celebration chorus members will judge and vote to select the top 5 finalists (and 1 alternate). The finalists will be notified no later than September 10th.  The top five contestants will perform for a live audience and panel of judges at our annual Fall Show, Celebrate the Music, on October 10th at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts- Discovery Theatre

Cash Prizes: 1st Place is $1000.00. All finalists will receive a cash prize.
